MLS Teams to Vie for SuperLiga Crown

Revolution and Dynamo face-off for the million-dollar prize in Boston on Aug. 5


NEW YORK (Thursday, July 31, 2008) – An all MLS final is set for the 2008 edition of SuperLiga, the annual tournament that crowns the best between four clubs from Major League Soccer and four from Mexico’s Primera Division. The New England Revolution will host the Houston Dynamo on Tuesday, August 5 at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium beginning at 8:00 pm ET.

The Revolution defeated Atlante of Mexico on Wednesday night 1-0 with a goal by Shalrie Joseph, and will host the Dynamo, which defeated one of Mexico’s best clubs, Pachuca CF, 2-0 on Tuesday night in Houston.

The SuperLiga 2008 final will be a rematch of the 2007 MLS Cup championship won by the Dynamo back in November of 2007.

The grand finale will be broadcast live on Telefutura and ESPN Deportes Radio (in Spanish) and SuperLiga2008.com (in English). The SuperLiga Final will take place on August 5.
